An update on our response to COVID-19

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our priority continues to be on the safety of our staff, students and community. We are excited to announce that we have gradually begun welcoming students back into our facility, introducing strict guidelines with your safety in mind. Online private lessons are still available. Our RhythmFUN! program is back this semester and we will be offering a hybrid format beginning in February! Click here for more information!

In-person guidelines 

We are very excited to invite our students and community members back! For private lessons and practice room rental, please contact us for scheduling. We will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and students. The lesson room and equipment will be sanitized before and after every lesson and reservation. Drums and equipment will be sanitized before and after every group session and event. Please read the guidelines carefully and understand that failure to comply with the guidelines may result in a forfeit or cancellation of your lesson/rental/reservation. 

Private Students

  • Please arrive at your scheduled lesson time, the cafe will not be available for waiting. 

  • The main entrance in the cafe will be closed, please use the second entrance to the right. this will be your lesson room.

  • For the safety of our staff, all other rooms in the center will be off limits to students. 

  • Masks are REQUIRED. Students without a mask, will not be allowed in the lesson room. 

Rhythm Fun Students

  • Please arrive on time for class, there will be temperature checks at the door. 

  • Parents, for everyone's safety our cafe will be closed. After your child is inside, we kindly ask that you wait in your car or return to pick up your child when class is over.  

  • Masks are REQUIRED. Students without a mask, will not be allowed to participate in the class. 

Free Friday Drum Jam / Community Jam Session

  • Reservations are REQUIRED. Please click here to reserve your spot. 

  • There will be temperature checks at the door, please arrive on time.  

  • Masks are REQUIRED. Anyone without a mask will not be allowed into the building.

The SFCPA is a Knight Arts Challenge winning, non-profit organization dedicated to creating new and enhancing existing opportunities to study, perform, and enjoy music through percussion. Along with educational programs from classical to world percussion, we help make music accessible to our community through school presentations, workshops, and performances. We also meet a challenge of studying percussion: access to literature, instruments, and rehearsal space in our 2300 sq.ft. facility!

Everyone is invited to try out the instruments, learn from one another, and just jam out!
