Kiril Angelov

Kiril Angelov (Pleven, Bulgaria) won his first international percussion competition, PENDIM, when he was 8 years old. After graduating the National School of Art “Panaiot Pipkov”, Kiril continued his Bachelor studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, mostly focusing on orchestral repertoire – an experience which culminated in performing at the Concertgebouw. Upon graduation, Kiril moved to Miami, where he got his Master of Music degree and Artist Diploma from the Frost School of Music. During his studies, Kiril was a two-time winner of the Frost Concerto Competition, performing Avner Dorman's Spices, Perfumes, Toxins!, as well as Frozen in Time.

The SFCPA is a Knight Arts Challenge winning, non-profit organization dedicated to creating new and enhancing existing opportunities to study, perform, and enjoy music through percussion. Along with educational programs from classical to world percussion, we help make music accessible to our community through school presentations, workshops, and performances. We also meet a challenge of studying percussion: access to literature, instruments, and rehearsal space in our 2300 sq.ft. facility!
