SFCPA Students Take the World Stage at the FIFA Fan Festival™

This summer, the world came to Miami—and South Florida Center for Percussive Arts was honored to be part of the celebration!

Over the course of seven performance days, our students proudly represented South Florida at the official FIFA Fan Festival™ at Bayfront Park, performing for thousands of soccer fans from around the globe as they gathered to celebrate the world's biggest sporting event. Throughout the tournament, the FIFA Fan Festival welcomed more than 600,000 visitors, transforming downtown Miami into an international celebration of sport, music, and culture.

Our performances brought "Street Beats from Around the World" to life, showcasing rhythms and traditions inspired by cultures across the globe. From samba to merengue, our students demonstrated that music has the power to connect people across languages, backgrounds, and generations.

For many of our young musicians, this was the largest audience they have ever performed for. More importantly, it was an opportunity to serve as cultural ambassadors—welcoming visitors from every corner of the world while proudly representing the diversity, creativity, and vibrant spirit of Miami. Throughout the festival, countless fans stopped to dance, clap along, take photos, and celebrate with our students. Watching people from so many different countries connect through rhythm was a powerful reminder that Drumming is Universal.

We are incredibly proud of every student who took the stage with confidence, professionalism, and joy. Their performances reflected not only months of rehearsal and dedication, but also the values of curiosity, collaboration, and community that define SFCPA.
